Notes

These writings are not explanations of the photographs. They exist alongside the work, shaped by many of the same concerns: light, time, touch, and use. Some pieces are fragments, others closer to essays. They are written without schedule and without conclusion, as part of a longer, unfinished manuscript. Images may appear here, or they may not. The notes are meant to be read slowly, or not at all.

About

Faded Forms is a photography practice rooted in the honest capture of light and time. I work at the intersection of biology, chemistry, and physics to preserve moments as they naturally arise, without manipulation or artifice.

My aesthetic philosophy draws from the beauty found in patina, in things worn smooth by authentic use, in the marks left by time and genuine interaction with the world. In an age of digital perfection and endless editing, I seek the subtle richness that comes from allowing things to be what they are.

Each photograph is a collaboration between light, chemistry, and a specific moment that will never repeat itself in quite the same way.

Contact

I work with people who are interested in making something carefully and without hurry. A session is approached as a piece of work rather than a performance — time is taken, attention is shared, and the process remains simple. The photographs are not designed to present an idealized version of the subject, but to allow a form to emerge through light, posture, and presence. No prior experience in front of a camera is expected.
